Great news for Joe Biden in the 2024 race

We keep seeing different polls saying different things about the 2024 election. Some polls are good for Donald Trump, and the media (on both sides) always hypes those polls. Plenty of polls are good or even great for Joe Biden, but the media mostly treats those polls like they don’t exist. It’s too early for polls to be a determining factor anyway.

Instead, if you want to understand what kind of momentum a candidate has this early on, you look at indicators like small dollar fundraising. To that end, Joe Biden is setting records in terms of how much money he’s bringing in right now. He just had yet another record breaking quarter.

What’s important here is that this isn’t a matter of a few mega donors writing checks. Biden’s war chest mostly consists of small dollar donations from a huge number of people. So Biden has the kind of broad 2024 momentum such that huge numbers of supporters are donating to his campaign already. That’s how you measure momentum.

Meanwhile Donald Trump and the RNC are continuing to struggle to bring in 2024 donations, because even potential donors on their side of the fence think that Trump’s 2024 “campaign” is a joke in the face of his criminal trials. Biden 2024 is for real, and Trump 2024 is a punchline.
