Geraldo Rivera goes off the deep end as Donald Trump unravels
Donald Trump’s meltdown about ingesting disinfectants has created such a tidal wave of backlash against him, he had to reluctantly announce today that he’s backing down from holding press briefings. With Trump’s poll numbers continuing to drop and everything going wrong for him, his chief apologist Geraldo Rivera is going off the deep end.
Geraldo has decided that he’s going to be the idiot who tries to make the straight faced argument that Donald Trump really was being sarcastic:
Hard not to believe @realDonaldTrump was being sarcastic about bleach drinking. He just does deadpan better than most reporters.

What’s remarkable here is that even if you do swallow the notion that Trump was merely joking (which he wasn’t), Geraldo is literally arguing that anyone who’s dumb enough to listen to Trump gets what they deserve. Not a good look.
