Sometimes, it seems like a curse. When someone — be it one person, two people or a political party, has a bad day, said bad day can expand into a bad week, a bad month, and a bad year.

And this is precisely what is happening to the Republican party. The GOP can’t seem to catch a break. Their string of bad luck has metastasized and become a 24-hour curse. I’ve lost count on how many things have gone wrong for Republicans in the last week or so, but this new drama involved Fox non-news.

As you know, GOP contenders are battling it out for the worst job in the world. We’ve got Gym. We’ve got Scalise. There will be others. And of course, Fox wanted to get in on the action. Fox non-news, which has been wrecking lives for many years, scheduled a debate between some Speaker candidates, including Gym and Scalise. It was to be featured on Fox News on Monday.

Only there was a problem. Republican rank and file didn’t WANT this Fox debate. In fact, they appeared infuriated about it. CNN broke the news, saying that after lots of GOP pushback, the speaker candidates had decided not to do the interview.

The Republicans who wanted the debate canceled were reportedly enraged because they felt too many members were addicted to going on Fox Non-News. I really can’t argue that they’re wrong.

These members say this addiction to going on Fox has led to too much drama and, in fact, influenced flame throwers like Matt Gaetz and his partners in crime to ousting Kevin. Reportedly, one outraged Republican complained that if this event went off as scheduled, it would quickly turn the whole speaker race into a circus.

To that member, I’d say not to worry. It already IS a circus. But haven’t you seen this type of thing before? It’s all down to luck. Republicans lost any chance they may have had for privacy with their undignified ousting of Kevin McCarthy. Now the world is seeing all the OTHER problems and dysfunctions the not-so-grand old party has.

The GOP’s luck has run out. Nowadays, it seems every comment, argument, and disagreement is making national news. They obviously don’t like it, but I say it’s about time. These bunch of incompetent people are showing the world both their helplessness and their hopelessness.

And I say the world should get a good long look at this bunch of morons because they want to win elections, and they have no idea how to govern. The American people should know this. It really would be like someone volunteering to do brain surgery who had never been to Med school.

One wants competence and experience in their doctors, teachers, lawyers, and — political candidates. The GOP whose luck is now long gone, are showing they have neither.
