Fade to black

Donald Trump’s moment, his play, his screams and yells and complaints are eventually going to fade to black. Even as I write these words, Donald Trump is likely on Truth Social, spewing more hate. It’s where he lives. It’s the only place that will hear his infuriated cries. It is his final freedom stop.

Donald Trump and Truth Social are irrevocably joined together as one, Truth Social being the place that receives Mr. Trump with a smile. It receives him and lets him vent his stale, rotting hatred. Trump is busy attacking Jack Smith, Smith’s wife, his character, and person.

He is also attacking President Biden. Of course, he is. This is where Donald Trump feels the most relaxed. Truth Social is now a part of him, his evil twin, his partner in crime. Truth Social allows Trump to be himself, his whole self and nothing but himself. It is his other half. It is all he has left.

“A deranged psycho.” This is part of the word vomit that Truth Social allows Trump to cry out. As long as Trump has Truth Social, he is free. He’s free to rage, to scream, to unleash all the festering fury he’s hidden within himself for so many years.

But there is no Truth Social in prison. So what happens if Trump has to do time? What happens when he has nobody to scream to? What happens when the one that receives him is left behind, perhaps to wither at Mar-a-Lago? That is when Trump will really know he is alone. That is when he will fade to black.
