Apparently wandering the congressional halls while holding nonsensical props is a thing for House Republicans these days. George Santos was seen wandering around holding a mystery baby that he admitted wasn’t his. Now House Republican Mike Collins is taking things to a whole new level of weirdness.

Just before the House Republican caucus meeting to try to elect a new nominee for Speaker of the House, Mike Collins was seen wandering the halls while holding a bunch of printouts of oversized internet memes:

Yes, this is really a member of the United States Congress, and yes this is really happening. The kicker is that, as one reporter pointed out, Mike Collins was on his way to the wrong location for the meeting. If a guy getting lost while wandering the halls of Congress with a bunch of memes isn’t emblematic of the Republican House’s inability to elect a Speaker, we don’t know what is.
