Even John Bolton says it’s over for Donald Trump

Considering how dishonorably John Bolton flamed out by refusing to testify during the House impeachment hearings because he wanted to wait and cash in on his book, we didn’t figure we’d be interested in hearing anything that he ever has to say again. And that’s still mostly the case.

But it’s notable that even Bolton is now telling the GOP that it needs to stop coddling Donald Trump’s fragile ego over the fact that he lost, both because it’s bad for the nation and bad for the Republicans. Also, John Bolton used the magic words: “President-elect Joe Biden.”

For the record, John Bolton still sucks. And of course he was certainly no friend of Donald Trump to begin with, so it’s no surprise that he’s now taking the opportunity to kick Trump on his way out the door. But it’s the latest reminder that with Trump’s presidency now essentially a rotting carcass, the buzzards are going to keep circling in greater fashion.
