Given Mark Meadows’ proximity to this newly reported smoking gun recording of Donald Trump in the espionage case, it’s pretty clear that Meadows has either flipped or he’s going to prison forever.

The recording is of Trump discussing classified intel about Iran with the people who ghostwrote Meadows’ autobiography. Meadows certainly would have known about this conversation one way or the other.

So either Meadows was the one who steered Jack Smith toward the existence of this recording, which means Meadows is cooperating. Or Smith uncovered this on his own, and Meadows is still a target, and now he’s going down for his role in Trump’s espionage on top of everything else. We’ll find out soon enough.
