Down goes Rudy Giuliani

For many, the fall to the bottom, when once they were on top can be painful. I imagine it’s particularly painful for Rudolph Giuliani. Once the subject of much admiration in New York City (not from this writer of course), Giuliani has fallen on hard times.

These days, far from the overconfident and brash Rudy of times past, he walks in shadows. There is a stench of failure to him. One can usually find Rudy in today’s times angrily spouting off on his innocence, going on angry rants and frequently looking red-faced and furious.

The bottom line is the former mayor has humiliated himself all in servitude of Donald Trump. And like many who fell before him, Rudy’s learning the hard way that when one gets mixed up with Donald Trump, one can usually not escape with their soul intact, nor their dignity.

Rudy has little money. It is being said that some of his former friends and rescuers refused to help him this time. He needs money desperately. He’s going to be fighting in the Georgia case for his very freedom. And on top of that, he lost his defamation case this week against Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss.

The Judge ruled against him after Rudy didn’t provide information that he was required to provide. These two wonderful women were and are heroes and what was done to them is disgusting.

Rudy played a big role in that, and will likely be on the hook now for a lot of money as he’ll have to pay up. And it’s all his fault. Friends and readers, in the last few years since Trump, we have heard in Republican circles much of the blame game, as Republicans have blamed everything but themselves for the trouble that has hit them.

They have blamed (in no particular order) Democrats, other Republicans, the deep state, the FBI, the DOJ and the weather (I don’t know actually about that last one, but it wouldn’t surprise me a bit).

As Giuliani continues to walk in the sunset of failure, it might be good if he had the self-awareness to look within himself deeply, to question himself, to try to understand why he needed this drama in his life, the drama of the human monster, Donald Trump. What in his own life was lacking so much that he needed to willingly destroy himself?
