Donald Trump’s worsening senility just took a particularly unhinged turn

Donald Trump has been presenting as senile in his public appearances for about two and a half years now. But over the past month his cognitive abilities have particularly gone off a cliff. He’s mixed up who he ran against in 2016. He’s gotten confused about which Bush brother was President. He forgot how many World Wars there have been. Now he’s getting even worse.

While attempting to “campaign” in California on Friday, Trump announced that people in Beverly Hills are now leaving their car doors open so that people can steal their tires. No really, he said this. Trump is obviously trying to recite some phony right wing talking point, but he couldn’t even come close to telling it in coherent or intelligible fashion. He’s simply a senile man trying and failing to put thoughts together. But it got worse.

At one point during his speech, Trump falsely claimed that he’s ahead of President Joe Biden by as much as twenty points (the majority of recent polls taken have Biden ahead of Trump). Trump then yelled “let’s indict the motherfu*cker” – as if that were a normal, appropriate, sane way for a supposed presidential candidate to speak.

What we’re seeing here is Donald Trump simultaneously descending into total senility and total madness as his world falls apart around him. At this point Trump is a lock for bankruptcy and prison, and on his more lucid days he knows it. No wonder his brain is collapsing in on itself. There will be nothing left of this guy by the time he’s dragged off to prison.
