Donald Trump’s jailhouse rock
Donald Trump has always had a long obsession with Elvis. Now, to be fair, many people love the King. I even named one of my cats after him. However, very few people brag that they’re more popular than Elvis Presley.
Trump’s narcissism is showing again with THIS one. On Truth Social, Trump did not compliment Elvis, he (tried) to disparage him. He did this by sharing a link from a Maga claiming Trump gets far more crowds at his rallies than Presley did at his concerts.
Insanity is alive and well and living on Truth Social. Now anyone with a brain knows Trump’s claim is not true. But that did not stop individual one from making the claim. When fools rush in…
Trump also exaggerated the number of people who show up at his rallies. He appeared intent on getting people to believe he really is more popular than the King.
Alas. Like all things Trump does, this did not work. It did not work for a few reasons, some of which I will list here.
It didn’t work because:
Most people are not stupid enough to believe this nonsense.
Most people are not ON Truth Social.
Most people do not love Trump; they completely despise him.
According to the Elvis website, the 1973 Aloha from Hawaii show had more viewers than the 1969 Moon landing.
People were crazy about Elvis in the day, and many still are. He is widely recognized as a Rock pioneer. Many still remain devoted to him.
People hate Donald trump, and many still do. He is widely recognized as an insurrection pioneer. Many remain disgusted by him.
So you see, there really is no comparison. Trump needs to get a handle on his jealousy. It seems to come to him in the dead of night when most people sleep. It is then that Trump’s little green monster surfaces, running amok and causing Trump to make a fool of himself which he does regularly.
But there is good news for Donald Trump! He may, in fact, get his wish. He may pass or at least tie Presley very soon.
That would be when he is sentenced to prison. AND when he starts serving his sentence.
There, Donald Trump will find millions watching his every move, millions celebrating it, loving it, and in a frenzy over it . That will be his own little Jailhouse Rock. And yes, the viewership will be mighty.
