Donald Trump is now under arrest, as his lawyer melts down in front of the cameras
Donald Trump is now officially under arrest at a federal courthouse in Miami, while he may get out on bail, things will only get worse for him from here. There are no cameras in the courthouse, but there are TV cameras outside. One of Trump’s attorneys found those cameras and unwittingly gave away just how screwed Trump is.
Trump attorney Alina Habba appeared in front of the TV cameras outside the courthouse and began angrily ranting about how unfair the criminal charges are, and began spinning such unhinged conspiracy theories about the Democrats that some networks ended up cutting away from her.
A known liar like Habba should never be put on live television to begin with. But her frustrated meltdown did serve to give something away. Trump and his people are desperate and defeated already. They have no legal argument to make in this case, and they don’t even have a public opinion argument that’s going to fly with more than a small fraction of the population.
In any case, at this moment Donald Trump is under arrest for DOJ criminal charges under the Espionage Act. That’s a huge win for our side, a huge win for justice, and a huge win for America. This will only get better for America, and worse for Trump, from here.
