Donald Trump is already thinking ahead to his criminal trial
“I’m on trial” a certain slithery person wailed. But let’s start at the beginning. It seems just about everybody is celebrating the Fourth of July, one way or another. Except for one person. The most miserable person in the world.
Donald Trump is miserable. His misery appears to be all-consuming as he appears to have moved into the home of Truth Social and shows no sign of leaving. Adrift in cyber-space, the world’s most miserable man is letting the country have it. I’m on trial is Trump’s newest mantra. And like every person on trial, he is being polite and respectful to the Judge and the Jury.
I was just kidding. WHEN is Trump ever respectful to ANYBODY? Calling the January 6 committee members “lowlifes,” Trump proceeded to pour out his hopes, dreams, and fears to all of Truth Social. Not many are listening.
Trump’s popularity is at his lowest point. All over the country, he is news — only maybe not quite the way he wanted to be. Worse, Trump is still going on about the 2020 presidential election being stolen. At this point, the garbage has been recycled so many times that it’s pathetic. “I’m the one who is on trial,” he posted on Truth Social.
That’s true in the metaphorical sense. But an actual trial for Trump might be coming soon. Almost everybody these days is talking WHEN, not IF, he is indicted. “We are truly a nation in decline,” he wrote.
The only one in decline is the sanity of the lord of the lies. His anger just won’t be quenched. At this rate, it would not surprise if he just sat on Truth Social through the fourth of July, taking potshots at the January 6 committee members. Happy Fourth of July, Donald.
