Donald Trump has obsessively unhinged meltdown about E. Jean Carroll

Donald Trump’s second E. Jean Carroll trial was briefly delayed on Monday after a juror reported feeling ill. But that didn’t stop Trump from moving forward with what he seems to think is his “strategy” for the trial.

Trump spent Monday obsessively making one social media post about E. Jean Carroll after another, to the point that it was difficult to count them all. Many of Trump’s posts were screen captures of Carroll’s old sex-related tweets. Trump seemed to be trying to make the tired old (and offensive) argument that a woman can’t be sexually assaulted if she likes sex to begin with. This is particularly absurd given that Carroll was a sex columnist for a magazine. What was she supposed to be talking about?

Keep in mind that Trump isn’t “getting away” with this kind of thing. Carroll’s attorneys have made clear that they intend to seek even more damages based on the posts that Trump keeps making about her. So if Trump wants to keep going this route, so be it.
