Donald Trump was criminally indicted by a Manhattan grand jury today, but since it’s still under seal, we don’t yet know the details about the specific charges. However some details are leaking out in advance.

First the New York Times reported that there was at least one felony count involved. Now CNN is reporting on air that there are a total thirty-four criminal counts against Trump, relating to the falsification of business records.

It’s worth keeping in mind that this doesn’t necessarily mean thirty-four felony counts. Some of these could be misdemeanors. For all we know it could be one felony charge and thirty-three misdemeanor charges.

But regardless of what the individual breakdown ends up being, we now know that Donald Trump has been hit with a thirty-four count criminal indictment, with the top count being a felony. This is a big deal.

That said, the criminal charges Donald Trump is facing from Fulton County and the DOJ are likely to be much more severe than this, with far more serious prison time attached. Let the games begin.
