Donald Trump gets mercilessly booed at event
Donald Trump’s handlers keep limiting him to events like rallies packed with his own supporters, along with prearranged town halls also packed with his own supporters. They’ve kept Trump away from things like Republican primary debates, where the audience isn’t going to fawn over his every senile word.
But today Trump decided to attend a sporting event in South Carolina, presumably so he can keep up the charade that he’s going to be a viable political candidate in the key early primary state in 2024. Suffice it to say that it didn’t go well for him:

It’s notable that Trump’s supporters in South Carolina didn’t seem to be on hand to greet him with cheers. We keep seeing again and again that Trump’s base is as worn down and tired as he is. Meanwhile the anti-Trump movement is as enthusiastic as ever.
