Donald Trump? Alex Jones? DOWN THEY GO!
So now a convicted Proud Boys leader (whose life has been destroyed) is telling Alex Jones (whose life has been destroyed) that Donald Trump (whose life has been destroyed) will save them all with magic pardons. They’re all clinging to magic rescue fantasies on their way down.
I know that in the name of “vigilance” we’re supposed to pretend that Trump might have some realistic chance of magically coming out on top of all this. But I don’t think that’s what vigilance is. Trump and his goons are toast. They just are.
To my mind, real vigilance consists of focusing on the battles that we still have to fight going forward. We have an election to win. We have a House to flip. We have a Senate to keep. These right wing monsters just never stop coming. We have enough real battles to fight against the next round of right wing villains, without getting distracted by the delusional rescue fantasies being floated by the right wing villains we already destroyed.
