Democrat Adam Frisch just made an announcement that’ll end up being Lauren Boebert’s worst nightmare

The 2022 election cycle helped demonstrate why we should focus our resources on the truly competitive House races, in the name of pursuing the House majority. We can pump all the money in the world into these far right House districts that are rated R+20 and the Republican candidate will still win a in a blowout. You just can’t move the needle twenty points like that.

When you’re identifying the competitive House races where you can actually change the outcome by getting involved, you typically want to look for House districts that are rated somewhere between R+5 and D+5. Those are the races that are going to be close enough that having a great Democratic candidate and/or an unpopular Republican candidate can make the difference between a close win and a close loss.

In 2022 we saw a bit of an exception to this rule, when Democratic candidate Adam Frisch took on House Republican Lauren Boebert in Colorado’s third district. This was (and still is) rated an R+7 district by Cook Political Report, putting it at the absolute outer reaches of potential competitiveness. But Frisch ran a heck of a campaign and, combined with Boebert’s growing unpopularity within her district, the result was that Frisch almost won. Now there’s bad news for Boebert, and good news for America: Frisch has officially entered the fray for 2024.

Weeks ago, Cook preliminarily rated Colorado’s third district as “Lean Republican” for 2024. But Frisch has proven himself to be popular in his district, so his entry into the race helps tilt the odds a bit. Our plan is to spend all of 2023 fully supporting Frisch’s campaign, with the goal of nudging it into the “toss up” column by the end of this year. Then we can go all-out in 2024.

Keep in mind that while this will be a competitive and winnable race, it will not be easy. Winning a close race takes hard work and effort – not merely on the part of the Democratic candidate, but on your part. Boebert is unpopular in her district, but it’s a district that leans slightly Republican. And there are people just as deranged as she is who will donate and work hard to try to help her win in 2024.

That’s why Democrat Adam Frisch needs your help. Even this early, he’ll need your donations to get his 2024 campaign off the ground. His official donation link is here. And he’ll need volunteer hours. Keep in mind that you can phone bank or text bank for any campaign around the nation, from your own home. That stuff doesn’t come until later in the election cycle. But it’s a good idea to sign up for Frisch’s official volunteer page, so the campaign can reach out to you when the time comes. It’s never too early to get started. Let’s go win this!
