Busted: Roger Stone called Donald Trump right after Jerome Corsi told him about WikiLeaks
Here we go. Earlier today, when some of Donald Trump’s written answers for Robert Mueller leaked to the media, we learned that Trump insisted his friend Roger Stone had never told him about any WikiLeaks collusion. As Palmer Report pointed out earlier today, the whole point of these questions was so Mueller could nail Trump for perjury, because Mueller always knows the answer before he asks a question. Now we know how Mueller knew.
Yesterday Jerome Corsi provided the media with a draft copy of his indictment, which Robert Mueller had given to him earlier this month. In that document, it’s revealed that Mueller has emails proving Corsi told Roger Stone on August 2nd, 2016 that Wikileaks was about to release “very damaging” material about Hillary Clinton. The Washington Post has pieced together tonight that, by his own public admission at the time, Roger Stone called Donald Trump on the phone. Oops.
Stone is, naturally, telling the Post that the phone call somehow had nothing to do with the stunning and potentially election-altering information he had just received from Corsi. Given Stone’s consistent record of lying about things, we feel safe in saying “Yeah, right.” But here’s the thing. It’s not about what we think took place during that phone call.
We can’t stress enough that when Robert Mueller asks a question, it’s because he already knows the answer, and he’s looking for that person to do one of two things: 1) either give him additional helpful information about the topic, or 2) lie to him about it, so he can bust the person for perjury, which is a quick and easy way to make an initial criminal charge stick. Mueller would only ask Trump about Stone and WikiLeaks if Mueller – somehow – already knows what took place during that phone call. Busted.
