Over the weekend, Donald Trump’s recently demoted 2020 campaign manager Brad Parscale was taken into custody by police and forcibly hospitalized, after he barricaded himself inside his home with a weapons cache and threatened to kill himself. It’s since been revealed that Parscale had allegedly also recently been beating his wife. Now the whole thing has taken an even stranger turn.

The Daily Mail is reporting that Brad Parscale is now being investigated for “stealing” tens of millions of dollars from the Donald Trump campaign and from the Republican National Committee. The Daily Mail is a British tabloid, so you can take its reporting with a grain of salt. But there are only two possibilities here. One is that Parscale actually is under investigation for stealing money. The other is that someone in the Trump regime has planted a fake story about Parscale stealing money, in order to scapegoat him for the campaign money that seems to have gone missing.

Either way, the Donald Trump 2020 campaign has been one big long front for rampant financial fraud. Earlier this month the New York Times reported that huge chunks of campaign money were being paid to Trump family members, even as various parties have blamed each other for the fact that the campaign has blown through most of its money and is now too broke to run sufficient TV ads.

Meanwhile we’re still waiting to see if Brad Parscale ends up facing charges in relation to his recent incident. If so, they won’t be federal charges, and Donald Trump won’t be able to pardon them in order to keep him quiet. In such case, Parscale would have to at least consider cutting a plea deal against Trump and the campaign in exchange for leniency. Stay tuned.
