Rudy Guiliani has reached new levels of insanity. “I did it all for my country,” the former NYC Mayor declared Sunday. He was referring to everything. He spoke about everything, from fake electors to the monetary Judgment against him. Far from being contrite, Rudy was defiant, saying he did it all for his country and calling himself a brilliant mind:

“I went to Georgia, indicted.”

“I went to Michigan.”

“I went to Arizona.”

“I brought witnesses.”

Had he NOT done all that he did? Rudy said that would have been a “double-cross to Trump.”

“I would have to turn my back on my client.”

“and double-crossed him.”

Rudy did admit that he knows some may not believe him, that he did it for his country.

“You may think I’m self-aggrandizing.”

That’s one way to put it.

“I knew something my fellow countrymen didn’t know: that we were on the verge of electing a 30-year career criminal as the President.”

Oh, Rudy, Rudy, how genuinely insane you are. So many people ask: Why would Rudy not apologize, leave this all behind, and start afresh? I have an answer to that question. It’s that Rudy, like Trump, is a malignant narcissist, and narcissists can’t apologize.

If you look at Rudy, one can see his narcissism, AND one can see it in ways having little to do with Donald Trump at all. First, as much as Rudy was portrayed as a hero on 9/11, many were mad at him.

Many people blamed Rudy for a lack of quality radio gear that could have saved lives. Firefighters were especially incensed. Rudy’s personal life is also spread out in horrifying detail, with three marriages all ending in divorce, some with deep bitterness.

And Rudy, when he ran for President, was accused of basically running on 9/11. I agree. So, when you look at the sum total of Rudy’s life, it does point to him being every bit the narcissist that Donald Trump is. And narcissism is, for anyone, a fatal flaw in their character makeup because narcissists cannot ever take responsibility for a thing.
