Ted Cruz has infuriated teachers and librarians all over Texas by announcing “left-wing educators” are introducing children into pornography and putting this pornography directly in front of children.

The latest claim from Cruz is as infused with bullshit as anything Ted says. And Cruz seems to be in some type of pissing contest — with himself — to alienate just about everybody. “Baloney” is what educators are saying of the slippery and slimy Non-Senator’s words.

And per Business Insider, when asked to cite specific examples, Cruz couldn’t manage to do it. In reality, of course, this isn’t about the children at all. The children are being weaponized. They’re being used as political pawns by garbage politicians who are desperate to scare the ever-loving crap out of suburban parents.

The reason they want to scare them is to bring them back under the fold. Republicans have lost the female suburban vote. And they want it back. But because these politicians have no answers on what to do about anything, playing the fear card is what they’ve decided to do.

And in the meantime, our children suffer, pulled into a cruel war of words they likely don’t even understand.

And books, of course, have been pulled into this battle as well. Like falling stars, hitting the earth, some of our literature are disappearing from schools — all because greedy, self-satisfied politicians need a weapon — any weapon — to maximize parental fears. The good news is that many parents and educators are pushing back on this nonsense. So are librarians. And so must we.
