GOP Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley decided today that he couldn’t simply leave bad enough alone. He and his fellow Senate Republicans managed to fraudulently put alleged criminal and confirmed screaming maniac Brett Kavanaugh on the Supreme Court earlier this month. Now Grassley is trying to get one of Kavanaugh’s accusers, Julie Swetnick, along with her attorney Michael Avenatti, thrown in prison.

As one might imagine, Michael Avenatti is less than impressed with Chuck Grassley’s criminal referral to the Department of Justice on phony charges. As Palmer Report explained, Grassley made a major strategic error by essentially reopening the investigation into Kavanaugh, and freeing up the DOJ/FBI to finally interview Swetnick, among other things. Now Avenatti is firing back.

Michael Avenatti posted this response: “Maybe if Grassley was actually a lawyer that knew something about the law, he would realize what he has done. He just opened up Pandora’s box as it relates to Justice Kavanaugh’s conduct. It is Christmas in October! Let me be clear: I have consistently called on white males like me to step, take responsibility, and be a part of [stopping] the sexism and bigotry that other white males engage in. It is especially important for them to call out other white males.” But he was just getting started.

Avenatti followed up with this message to Chuck Grassley: “Let’s start the investigation tonight. I will make my client available for a sworn interview and you can make Judge Kavanaugh available for a sworn interview. We also have 9 other witnesses we want [to be] interviewed and specific documents we want requested. Let’s go.”
