Everyone piles on after Donald Trump admits defeat

Donald Trump thinks that his derangedly racist words and psychotically racist concentration camps somehow don’t count as racism, so long as he makes the occasional empty token gesture toward a minority group. This time around Trump decided that he was going to help Kanye West get rapper A$AP Rocky out of a Swedish prison.

Days ago, Donald Trump announced on Twitter that he was going to call the Prime Minister of Sweden and make something happen with regard to A$AP Rocky. Today, Trump had to admit that he failed, tweeting “Very disappointed in Prime Minister Stefan Löfven for being unable to act. Sweden has let our African American Community down in the United States. I watched the tapes of A$AP Rocky, and he was being followed and harassed by troublemakers. Treat Americans fairly!”

Then an hour later, Trump doubled down on his frustration at his own failure: “Give A$AP Rocky his FREEDOM. We do so much for Sweden but it doesn’t seem to work the other way around. Sweden should focus on its real crime problem!” This served as a reminder that Trump’s diplomatic skills are nonexistent, that he can’t negotiate his way out of a paper bag, and that he has no idea what he’s doing in general.

The whole thing also served as a reminder that Donald Trump couldn’t care less about minorities. The phrase “African American Community” quickly began trending on Twitter as everyone piled on, pointing out that Trump received almost none of the black vote in 2016, and that Trump has said too many racist things about black public figures to keep track of.
