Tragedy unfolding in Florida right now
As I’ve said before, I maintain a deep love for our sea waters. I am as one with the sea. I am sure many of you also love the rippling tide waters. I’m sure many of you too, hear the captivating whispers of the seafoam waves that call to us. Ron DeSantis appears not to hear the pleas of the sea. And they ARE pleas. This is because there is a crisis going on in Florida’s waters right now.
The heat wave hitting our ocean-blue is terrifying, and it’s damaging Florida’s coral reefs. Many have turned white and are dying or have died. Ron DeSantis has said nothing. Even as the reefs wither away, there is no comment from DeSantis.
Huffington Post certainly looked — and could not find ONE remark from Medusa’s brother on this situation. Part of the beauty of Florida is its seas. They are as deeply interwoven in Florida’s soul as anything could be. They have delighted locals as well as tourists for years and years.
And coral reefs are synonymous with the beauty and importance of the sea. These reefs are underwater castles that should be floating vibrant and healthy, but they are not. And DeSantis is being continually reprimanded by his donors, who appear to dislike him more and more.
At this point, I think it’s only a matter of time till he has no choice but to drop out of the race. Will he hear it then, do you think? Will he hear the cries of the breathtaking reefs that need him — need someone to help them? I write this article with sorrow in my heart. It seems when it comes to DeSantis, he leaves nothing in his wake BUT sorrow.
