Donald Trump isn’t even trying anymore

Notable: Trump didn’t bother to hold a press conference and try to take credit for the vaccine, even after Biden held a coronavirus press conference. Instead Trump merely fired someone he didn’t like. Trump isn’t even trying to convince the public he’s somehow still viable.

If Trump wanted the spotlight back, why not just hold his own press conference and falsely take credit for the vaccine? He’s not even trying to fight for the presidency anymore. If he were, he’d be out there doing his own corrupt deranged version of “presidential.”

Firing the Secretary of Defense two days after losing the election is precisely the kind of headline that Trump DOESN’T need right now. He’s not fighting for the presidency. He’s just taking out small petty revenge on those he arbitrarily blames for his downfall.
