Even amid growing buzz about Attorney General Sessions moving closer to resigning in the hope of insulating himself from Donald Trump’s Russia scandal, Sessions has hired an attorney to represent himself in the scandal. While no one in the media seems to want to state the obvious, Congressman Ted Lieu has gone and said what we’re all thinking about Jeff Sessions.

Once the news broke that Sessions has indeed hired an attorney to represent himself in the Trump-Russia scandal, Ted Lieu posted the following: “I just want to ask a simple question: Why is Lyin’ Sessions still Attorney General?” (link). This comes as the sheer number of documented instances continues to grow in which Jeff Sessions has committed felony perjury with regard to the Russia scandal.

Sessions lied about his secret meetings with the Russian Ambassador under oath during is confirmation hearings. Then, after the media exposed his lie, he submitted written amended testimony, only to be caught lying in it as well. Sessions also lied on his security clearance form, another felony. He then went on to lie under oath about his Russia meetings again during his public testimony before the Senate this month. Sessions isn’t the only member of the Donald Trump administration facing Ted Lieu’s wrath this week.

After the news broke that CIA Director Mike Pompeo continued to give classified briefings with Michael Flynn in the room even after he and Trump both knew Flynn was a paid foreign agent, Ted Lieu responded” “We need to just say it as it is. If the below is true, the actions of @realDonaldTrump & his CIA Director were really, really, really stupid.” (link). And when Trump’s approval rating fell to a new all-time low this week, Lieu quipped that “The overwhelming majority of Americans are not buying what @realDonaldTrump is selling.”
