Let’s call this what it is: President Stephen Miller

For the past few months, we’ve been staring at the same question: who’s really in charge? It’s certainly not a senile Donald Trump, who is so far gone that his foreign policy consists of “tariffs” and his domestic policy consists of “sharks.” Trump’s family doesn’t seem to be around anymore. JD Vance is a pushover. Trump’s cabinet is a bunch of lightweights. Elon Musk left in a huff. So who’s actually calling the shots while Trump sits around ranting about sharks all day? I’ve figured it out – and you’re not going to like the answer.

This newly passed budget legislation is hideous in too many ways to count. But its two biggest hallmarks are that 1) it screws over the poor to help the rich, and 2) it screws over immigrants and non-white people in every way possible. Who hates immigrants and the poor more than anyone else in Trump’s inner circle? It’s the same guy who was celebrating the most loudly on Twitter after this legislation was passed: Stephen Miller.

That’s right. He’s the guy who’s so awful that even the rest of Trump’s first administration seemed to hate him. Now they’re all gone, and who’s left? Stephen Miller. The one who wanted all of this the most. The one who waited his turn, while everyone else around Trump spent a decade gradually bailing on the sinking ship. Now Miller is the captain of that sinking ship.

I point this out not to alarm you, or to repulse you, although those two feelings are certainly warranted. I’m pointing this out because, after months of trying to figure out who’s been calling the shots on a senile Trump’s behalf, we now finally know the answer. And that’s important, because you have to identify your enemy in order to be able to defeat your enemy.

Stephen Miller is one of the most objectively repulsive people in this country. If you look up the word “repulsive” in the dictionary, it’s just a picture of a bunch of people vomiting while thinking about Stephen Miller. He makes for a very easy enemy because of it. We need to start pushing Stephen Miller to the front, making it clear to the general public that this extremist monster is the one running the show while Trump sits there confused. Pushing Stephen Miller out front might just be our best strategy for winning the midterms.
