Donald Trump has, by design or by abuse, run off the majority of his senior staff members over the past few months – without replacing most of them. What’s left is a skeleton crew of misfits. Among them: a distinguished military General reduced to playing nanny, an oil company veteran who has no idea why he’s there, a contestant from the Apprentice whose only job duty is to cause trouble internally, and a Wall Street guy who openly hates him. Not shockingly, Trump is now melting down further, and he’s taking it out on the few advisers he has left.

Trump has angrily unloaded on his new White House Chief of Staff, retired General John Kelly, who has warned Trump not to do it again according to the Washington Post (link). Trump is also taking out his frustrations on adviser Gary Cohn, who just got done publicly calling Trump a racist. And Trump is also lashing out at Secretary of State Rex Tillerson behind his back for being too “establishment,” in a moment which perhaps proves that the buzzword from the 2016 campaign never did have any meaning. But there’s more.

Omarosa Manigault, best known for her stint as a contestant on Donald Trump’s reality show The Apprentice, inexplicably has a senior staff position in Trump’s White House. Her position is supposed to be one of outreach, but all she’s done is feed Trump negative coverage of himself in order to trigger him into a rage, according to the Daily Beast (link). John Kelly is now trying to oust Omarosa, meaning Trump will end up firing one of them. This has all but literally turned into an episode of The Apprentice.

At this point Donald Trump has either fired or prompted the resignations of Michael Flynn, Sean Spicer, Reince Priebus, Mike Dubke, Anthony Scaramucci, Ezra Cohen-Watnick, Sebastian Gorka, and Steve Bannon among others. None of these people were appropriate for their jobs to begin with, but they were loyal to Trump, and he was abusive and disloyal to them. As he continues to fail, he’s taking out his frustrations on the few people he hasn’t yet run off. If they quit, it’ll just be Trump screaming at the White House paintings.
