Donald Trump, who claims to be a billionaire and claims to have self funded his campaign, is actually severely indebted – and his campaign was in fact largely funded by the billionaire father and daughter tandem of Robert and Rebekah Mercer. The Mercers not only funded the Trump campaign, but also funded Cambridge Analytica, the Trump campaign’s voter data analysis arm. Based on new information, Rebekah Mercer is now in a phenomenal amount of trouble.
Earlier this week it was revealed that the head of Cambridge Analytica admitted in an email to having tried to conspire with WikiLeaks cyberterrorist Julian Assange on the emails stolen from Hillary Clinton’s political associates. This demonstrated that the firm had a clear desire to work with Russian hackers and criminals in order to gain a data advantage in the election, as opposed to the official narrative that the firm simply had genius insights into voter behavior. Now comes confirmation that Rebekah Mercer herself was in on the act.
Here’s the stunning first sentence of a new Wall Street Journal report: “Trump donor Rebekah Mercer in August 2016 asked the chief executive of a data-analytics firm working for Donald Trump’s presidential campaign whether the company could better organize the Hillary Clinton-related emails being released by WikiLeaks, according to a person familiar with their email exchange.” (link). This means that Rebekah Mercer herself, and not merely her employee running Cambridge Analytica, was seeking to conspire with Assange.
It’s been well established that Julian Assange is a mere puppet of the Russian government, and has been for some time. This means that Rebekah Mercer, the billionaire who primarily funded Donald Trump’s campaign for president, was seeking to conspire with the Russians in order to gain a data advantage in the election. That’s a federal crime – and it means she’ll have a hard time staying out of prison once Robert Mueller gets done with her.
