Often times what one sees is not the whole picture — it is just a speck of what is really going on. So many who do not follow politics, who do not follow much of anything in the news — think it’s just the same old, same old. They do not realize how important it is that they pay attention.

They might think of it as a the usual squabbling between two political parties fighting for power. So they might write it off as — politics as usual. Only it’s not. It is as far from politics as usual as one can get.

In reality, politics has almost nothing to do with our fight. Does that sound odd? It shouldn’t. There was once a time when it WAS merely politics. But things have changed. Politics are the outer trim, the part that people can see — the story that so many think we’re telling, but we aren’t.

In reality, politics — the politics that grace our worlds daily — are an allegory. The battle that people SEE is about politics — Republicans and Democrats — but in reality, it is about so much more.

The real story is the battle between good and evil.THAT is what this is all about. And we must talk about it because we are living such a battle. Many people — people not so involved in politics – do not realize this. They see two political parties. They have seen them before.

So they may tune out, frighteningly unaware that the picture is not telling the whole story. They do not realize is what they are seeing, has the ability to change the world. We can go the good route — or the evil. But we need their voices and votes to go the route of good.

Not voting or getting involved can be the country’s blue ruin, our reversal of fortune, our willingness — or unwillingness to let evil, moral bankruptcy, and utter desolation prevail.

It falls to us to lead the way forward — and remind people of all of this. That is how we ensure that good — and only good — prevails over the evil that we see.
