Donald Trump has a whole new problem
Much has been written by Palmer Report and the media about the racist tweets by President Projectionist, or PP, Donald Trump. This article has nothing to do with those racist screeds, but rather with a “rat” infestation of USS Shitshow, aka the Trump administration.
On Sunday, PP announced that Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats was out. Coats resigned after many disagreements with a president who not only does nothing to prevent further interference by foreign powers, but told George Stephanopoulos he would take a call from Russia or just about anyone if they had information for him.
To replace Coats, Trump picked a man who auditioned heavily during the Robert Mueller hearings last week, Representative John “Rat” Ratcliffe. The Rat met with Trump on July 19 and then a few days later, was ready to perform for PP. At the Mueller hearing, the Rat, who until recently was the mayor of a very tiny town, made his audition complete with the following: “So Americans need to know this, as they listen to the Democrats and socialists on the other side of the aisle, as they do dramatic readings from this report: that Volume 2 of this report was not authorized under the law to be written. It was written to a legal standard that does not exist at the Justice Department. And it was written in violation of every DOJ principle about extra-prosecutorial commentary.”
Maybe Ratcliffe took his lead from Attorney General William Barr, who auditioned extensively by showing how much water he could carry for the president. Trump liked what he saw, tweeting on Sunday evening: “I am pleased to announce that highly respected Congressman John Ratcliffe of Texas will be nominated by me to be the Director of National Intelligence. A former U.S. Attorney, John will lead and inspire greatness for the Country he loves.”
Reports were that the White House considered Ratcliffe not aggressive or tough or loyal enough, but voila, a little bit of anger and angst attacking Mueller and he gets the job. The Rat is joining USS Shitshow and Trump now has a rat infestation problem.
