“What’s going on?” – befuddled Donald Trump throws a fit

Donald Trump’s trade war with Canada is going very poorly for him. Wall Street thinks it’s a terrible idea. Polling shows that US consumers are losing confidence in the US economy. And Canada is pretty much just laughing at Trump. This is not only making Trump enraged, but also rather befuddled.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has met Trump’s tariffs with retaliatory tariffs, and he appears to have the support of the Canadian people on the matter. Trump can’t seem to figure out why anyone would dare stand up to him, so he’s asking this on social media: “what’s going on here?”

All that Donald Trump can do is whine about Trudeau and accuse Trudeau of some kind of underhanded plot. It hasn’t occurred to Trump that his tariffs are simply stupid, and that Trudeau and Canada are fighting back because it’s the logical thing to do against something that’s stupid. That’s because Trump is – you guessed it – stupid.
