What Donald Trump is really lording over Eric Adams

Something stinks. Something stinks about this Eric Adams letter from the Justice Department instructing that the charges against him be dropped. Of course, everything the Trump administration lays their hands on stinks to high heaven, but this is especially audacious and not in a good way.
What the justice department has done here is pretty close to blackmail. They left the door open to refile the chargers because they want them dismissed without prejudice. For those unsure what that term means, charges cannot be brought again if a crime is dismissed WITH prejudice. If itโs WITHOUT prejudice, that means that they can be.
So this move leaves Adams, already quite the shady character completely dependent on the Trump administration to keep him potentially out of prison. As you know, when somebody is entirely reliant on someone else, that person usually has to live according to that personโs rules. So, what do you think that means for New York? Nothing good.
Even on a good day. Eric Adams cannot be trusted. The man is a walking, talking bundle of wily secrets and shady activity. But now it WOULD seem he has no other option but to stay in Donald Trumpโs good graces. And as you know, nothing that the Trump administration would ask him to do would have any positive ramifications for New York.
Itโs excellent news that New Yorkers are smart and brutally honest people. Theyโve made their feelings about Adams clear. They arenโt going to vote him in again, even if he runs again, which Iโm not 100% sure that he will do.
But for now, heโs still in office, and I donโt like that dependency on the Trump administration. Pam Bondi heads up the justice department apartment, and she is an election-denying sycophant who does and says anything the trumpet administration asks her to. So when you look at this picture in its entirety something does indeed stink. Thank goodness Adams will soon be out.
