We know it and they know it

I want to discuss — us. I want to talk about why we’re the lucky ones and why Donald Trump and the GOP are not. Luck, you might ask. How are we lucky? What on earth is this writer talking about? We ARE lucky. Why? Because we KNOW who we are.
If you subscribe to the idea that we are all here on this lush, green earth to find our calling and to move with passion toward what we love and cherish, then congratulations—you are one of the lucky few. You know your calling.
It is — politics. And it is activism. Our calling cards are shining tapestries woven into our souls, and they contain the ideas that make America unique. The greatness of America would not exist without YOU — to love, protect, nurture, and fight for it.
You see, identity is something that many humans strive to find their whole lives. The GOP does not have it. But you — and I — we know what it is. It whispers to us, like voices falling from waves. It guides us and helps us find the way forward with clarity.
Here are some OTHERS who have answered the calling that flows through ALL of our bloodstreams:
“Veterans to protest on D–DAY against Donald Trump..”
Yep. Veterans are pissed.
“Local groups to protest Trump library cuts on Sunday.”
Yep. Libraries are pissed.
“Shapiro administration holds Lancaster event to protest proposed Medicaid, SNAP cuts.”
Yep. Pennsylvanians are pissed.
“Seniors speak out to stop Medicaid cuts.”
Yep. Seniors are pissed.
“People with disabilities protest Trump plan to cut Medicaid.”
Yep. People with disabilities are pissed.
You see, dear readers, it’s happening all over. If Taco and friends, aren’t careful they won’t have any voting blocs LEFT.
It’s happening through protests, with events created by those who know who they are, what they stand for, and who they are — who WE are —are the ones with the calling, the calling of activism.
