On any given day, Donald Trump’s Twitter account is a mix of nightmarish abuses of power, incoherent madman ramblings, and humiliating farce. But something was different about today, as Trump’s account seemed to go off the deep end, on a level that was over-the-top even by Trumpian standards.

It all started when Donald Trump woke up this morning and went on a confusing rant about how he’s so rich, he doesn’t need the money from his criminal scheme to funnel U.S. Air Force funds into his own resort. Then he added the phrase “Obama Netflix” – with a question mark after it – in the apparent belief that this somehow sealed his argument. Instead it just left everyone wondering whether Trump was on drugs, or needed to be on drugs. But that was just the start of it.

Trump went on to post dozens of retweets throughout the day, all of varying degrees of absurdity. Somewhere in there he called for a number of people at the New York Times to resign, he attacked China in a manner which reveals that he has zero understanding of economics, and he announced that he was “one my way to New Mexico” for a rally – which he later deleted.

Meanwhile, Joe Biden continues to have a double digit lead over Donald Trump in a head to head matchup, Elizabeth Warren held a massive record-breaking campaign rally in New York City, and we learned that a grand jury in New York is targeting Donald Trump for indictment. No wonder Trump and his Twitter account went so histrionically off the deep end today.
