We all know the monster can turn on its creator. We all know that when Traitors come for someone, it is not necessarily someone on a different team.

Sometimes, the monsters — the traitors — turn on one of their own. Sometimes they turn on the one in plain sight.

This is a lesson some simply do not learn. It’s a lesson Kevin McCarthy never learned.

McCarthy likely never saw it coming. The reason is that on an a scale of one to ten, Kevin’s ability to make sound decisions is definitely hovering around the zero mark.

Trump is viciously lashing out at McCarthy. Why? Because of the lack of (treacherous) Republicans on the January 6 committee.

This road leads back to Kevin, of course. It was Kevin’s decision not to put any Republican allies on the committee — likely because that’s what Trump TOLD him to do.

But now, Trump, who has likely been watching the hearings, sees what an awful decision that was. And because he’s a malignant narcissist and can’t admit mistakes, he transfers his anger to — who else? Cowardly Kevin.

After all, it’s not like Kevin will SAY anything about it. It’s not like he will STAND UP to Trump.

How can he? How could McCarthy possibly defend himself? At any point, Trump could bare his teeth and yank the precious speakership from him.

The fact that Kevin’s already LOST this speakership doesn’t appear to have penetrated the eternal stupor that McCarthy seems to be in. That isn’t a surprise. Kevin WAS always the last one to get the joke.

The traitors and the sociopaths always come for their own eventually — And now it appears in this case, the joke’s on Kevin.
