Twenty million people tuned in for Thursday night’s public hearing. While much of the information that was presented wasn’t new, it was new to most of the people watching. These hearings are about educating the public and motivating them to demand action and vote accordingly. So far so good.

It’s clear why Fox didn’t want to air the hearings, as two of its own hosts are material witnesses in the criminal case against Donald Trump. But not only did Fox make the journalistically wrong decision by not airing the hearings, it also made the wrong ratings-based decision.
