Trump’s worst miscalculation yet
There is a lake of extraordinary tranquility near where I reside. I occasionally make my way there to relax and think about the world. As you know, being outdoors is often where one gets the most clarity of thought.
And sometimes, the sweetly beguiling lake whispers inspire me when it comes to politics as well. And do you know the whispers say now, my friends?
“Trump miscalculated, Trump miscalculated.” Yes, this miscalculation is the humming that pleases my ears because it means America is catching on.b INDEPENDENTS are catching on.
We haven’t really talked all that much about this elusive group, the independents. But we must. New polls show that independents have had it up to here with Mr. Donald Trump. The man I will never call President has made perhaps the worst miscalculation ever.
He thought the American people would grin and go along on his Immigration plans. Well, they’re not. The poll from Marquette says it is INDEPENDENTS who have lost of faith in him; it is they who are turning away in disgust.
This was once one of his most popular issues among independents. Doesn’t that seem centuries ago? The Independent voting bloc dislikes the aggressive forms Trump’s deportations are taking. On A Daily Beast Podcast, the independents were spoken about along with this polling , and in the poll, it was found that they have “a brewing resentment” against Trump.
This poll shows 60 percent of independents in opposition to his immigration policy, and the podcasters noted that this comes at a time when Trump’s honeymoon period SHOULD still be going on. He barely got one. The respondents dislike: People without criminal records being deported, dislike the aggressive methods of ICE, and they hate the fascist element of the whole thing.
Also, in the same poll, only 17 percent of the people asked said they trust Donald Trump entirely. BAD, BAD NUMBERS! BAD, BAD PRESIDENT! Yes, I think this miscalculation will be one of his worst in history.
