Trump is going out of his mind over this

We all know how this must end. When Harvard University stood up to Donald Trump, many, including myself, applauded them. Harvard is David to Trump’s Goliath, and we all know how THAT song ended, don’t we? Trump is still raging over Harvard’s disobedience. So now he wants to cancel the remaining federal contracts with Harvard.
The Goliath in this story is bloated with rage because David is not doing as he would like. Story of Trump’s life. Trump has been and is, doing his best to punish Harvard for not immediately rolling over like a good puppy and obeying Donald Trump.
Only Harvard does not appear to want to do that — now or ever. NPR reports that Harvard’s president is “standing firm” and doubling down on their position. Harvard is righteous. Donald Trump is a mess. USA Today reports that the feud between the two has reached a “fever pitch” as Trump does everything he can think of to sabotage Harvard.
“Near-daily basis.” USA Today reports that Trump has been halting major research projects” of Harvard’s as well as freezing their federal funding. What Trump is doing is not unlike what abusive men do to their partners. First, he is trying to isolate Harvard by telling agencies to halt the contracts.
Isolation is a favorite punishment for the misogynistic. Second, Trump is bullying Harvard, likely hoping to drain them financially or wear them down enough that they finally submit to his bullying. Harvard has becomes Trump’s worst fear come to life — an enemy that refuses to roll over and play possum, an enemy that stands tall and disdainfully shrugs its shoulders at his authoritarian-like moves.
And it’s driving Trump crazy. Harvard right now, and hopefully for always, is the leaf-filled tree that cannot be chopped down. Its leaves are thick, solid, and tightly wrapped and do not seem breakable. Trump can huff and puff, but nothing appears to phase or to break Harvard. He is getting no reaction whatsoever, the one thing someone such as him, cannot stand, and by gosh, it’s glorious to watch.
