This will backfire on Donald Trump
I assume, friends and readers, that most of you, if not all of you, at some point in your lives, either in the past or currently, have held a job, probably more than one. I am also going to assume that those jobs that you held dearest to you were ones where friendship and camaraderie ruled the roost.
I am also going to assume that if you’ve ever had a job where you were harassed, pestered, intimidated, bullied, or shamed, you probably do not have fun memories of that place. That’s why the Trump administration is doomed.
Trump and Musk, at this very moment, are trying to run all of these government agencies through intimidation. Being the spoiled kids that they are, they have no idea that that is not what gains loyalty.
I mean, think about it. Think about where you’ve been the most happy. Think about a company you work for or have worked for, that when you went to work, made you feel like you were walking directly into a warm breeze on a summer’s afternoon.
Then think about a company that made you feel like you walked directly into a cold hard snowbank. Most people would choose the former. Trump is ruling by fear. He and Musk have turned their eyes to the environmental protection agency.
According to multiple reports, at least 1000 EPA employees received notices that they could be let go at any time. This is precisely what happened with the Department of education, the DOJ, and the FBI. Waste not, want not. Trump and Musk are wasting no time intimidating and trying to humiliate their employees.
It won’t work. It never does, in these situations. First of all, President Biden left us a great economy. Secondly, most of these people have excellent skills, and they can find a job somewhere else.
People are not going to look to stay in long-term jobs when there is a hostile environment and a toxic atmosphere. They just will not. This will backfire on Trump and Musk, the same way the changes on Twitter did.
