As if we do not have enough problems with Republicans, Washington Post reported on the so-called America First Caucus. The name gives away what they really are: Duly elected racists representing the Republican party. The group was started by Marjorie Taylor Green and Paul Gosar, and Barry Moore (AL) and Louie Gohmert (TX) reportedly signed on as early members. All are Retrumplicans who buy into the real meaning of his slogan: Make America White Again. The group’s manifesto has been made public, and it is interesting to say the least. They claim to promote policies “that are to the long-term benefit of the American nation,” but when you look a bit deeper, they promote policies that support some but not all Americans. One humorous aspect is the introduction, which claims that “a certain intellectual boldness” is required for membership. Marjorie Taylor Green is dumb as a box of rocks, so if she is the example of “intellectual boldness,” they are in trouble.

They, of course, support “election security.” The idea that our elections need security is nothing more than a Republican talking point, as no fraud was found in the 2020 election. Republicans, however, cannot stop talking about that which did not happen. As with everything else for which they stand, it is pure and utter nonsense. According to this band of idiots, “recent election results demonstrate a compromised integrity” in election. No, it demonstrated that people went out, voted, and kicked Republicans to the curb. If this nonsense is the best they can do, the kicking will continue. They also want a “national voter ID,” whatever that is. Rob Portman recently said that the federal government should stay out of state voting, but these nuts apparently want the opposite. One interesting part of their “policy,” for lack of a better word, calls for an end to immigration to preserve the “uniquely Anglo-Saxon political traditions.” Ted Lieu cut them a new one by tweeting: “As an immigrant, I served on active duty in the US military to defend your right to say stupid stuff.” They obviously have no shame.

This group wants to dictate how buildings look, stating that they should “reflect the architectural, engineering and aesthetic value that befits the progeny of European architecture.” Fine. Move to Europe. They also claim that the U.S. has “overreacted” to the pandemic. Perhaps they have not heard or read about the over one half million who have died, and more likely, they just do not care. Green’s care for others was shown by her vote against the National Marrow Donor Program, along with her co-nut in crime, Lauren Boebert. Reading through everything in their manifesto is somewhat entertaining, but it is frightening to think that these people have been elected and sit in authority over public policy.

Give it a read. It will become clear that these people do not understand true American ideals nor that the world does not revolve around them and their ridiculous beliefs. Every one of them needs to be booted from Congress.
