Donald Trump believes we all need to sacrifice something to make our country better. When he says “all,” he means us, not them. Elon Musk is still the richest man in the world, Trump is still loaded (we assume), and his “advisor” Alina Habba isn’t hurting for money while she claims all government workers are “lazy.” Welcome to the new world order according to Donald Trump. No need to wonder why most are still angry at those who put Trump back in office, as our nightmare is only just beginning.

Adam Mulvey is a 20-year Army veteran who has been forced out of his job. He appeared on MSNBC with Ari Melber to discuss his attendance at Trump’s speech. Even with everything going on right now that is impacting veterans, Mulvey said that he went with an open mind and open ears, and he hoped to hear something “uplifting and something about the sacrifices we are all going to have to make.” Instead, all he heard was “government employees are lazy, government employees are not wanting to come into work. The president’s advisor yesterday, Alina Haba, even said that government employees don’t deserve-they’re not fit to keep their jobs.” Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. Haba is too dumb to have a job, yet there she is, advising the president of the United States. I agree with Mulvey-hearing those things is offensive, and they are incorrect. This man served our country for 20 years. How dare they? Mulvey wanted to continue in service and went to the VA. His performance has been exemplary, and a week after he was fired, he received a performance bonus. How nutty is that? They’re not even making good choices of who goes and who stays. Like Mulvey said, we’re not seeing the sacrifice on the parts of those who expect all of us to sacrifice. Look at DOGE employees’ “sacrifices.”

According to the Independent, DOGE employees are “sacrificing” by staying in a federal building. You might think they’re “roughing it” by sleeping in a building not designed for living, but they’re making up for that with their IKEA swag. Adding insult to injury, they are camping out in the very buildings in which they are dismantling agencies, and they’re not losing any sleep over it. They have transformed four (at least) rooms on the 6th floor of the General Services Administration building into sleeping quarters, including IKEA beds, lamps, and dressers that we are paying for. They’re considering adding a washer and dryer, to the tune of $25,000. Let’s not even discuss their six figure salaries, which are also on our dime. A spokesperson for DOGE told Politico that they are working night and day “to help reduce the federal deficit and ensure an effective government” and that all purchases “followed all appropriate laws and regulations.” Why can’t they take their asses home to sleep? Maybe it’s just me, but unnecessarily furnishing someplace to sleep certainly isn’t helping the deficit. The more we learn about DOGE, the more it looks like a huge scam.
