This is just embarrassing for Mike Johnson
We must win the midterms and put the House GOP out to pasture. Speaking of the House GOP, Mike Johnson is now reduced to making threats. Case in point: Johnson has issued a threat to Democrats. He says he is thinking about expelling the Democrats who confronted ICE at that New Jersey facility where the Newark Mayor was arrested.
Johnson accused them of “storming ” the facility. He says there must be punishment and that he and his colleagues are considering what punishment best fits the crime. There WAS no crime. That fact does not appear to matter to Johnson, who, as you know, seemed just peachy with his own party launching an insurrection on January 6th. However, when it comes to the Democrats, as you can see, Johnson plays by a different set of rules, wherein House Republicans do not get ANY rules at all.
Johnson said expulsion is most definitely an option here. However, as usual, with republican schemes and dirty tricks, there’s a problem. Expelling any one member would require a two-thirds vote. That’s pretty impossible. So much as Johnson and his ilk would likely love to get rid of these democrats (honestly, they’d like nothing better than getting rid of ALL Democrats and filling the House with white Christian men only), they do not have the votes.
“Look,” Johnson said earnestly, “I think it’s pretty clear the law was violated.” Right. The law was only violated in an alternate universe — a Republican universe where no law exists for the GOP. Still, the Democrats can be called lawbreakers even when they’ve done nothing wrong.
Johnson then had the gumption to compare these Democrats to the Wisconsin Judge who was indicted, saying what Democrats did is “in the same label.” My gosh, am I tired of clueless Republicans. Johnson should watch his step because we WILL take back the House. We have to. It is our DUTY to. This house can’t be run by incompetent, corrupt politicians who base their whole life’s work on pleasing Donald Trump.
That must be a depressing way to live, as I’m sure you’ll agree. We’re all put in this world for some purpose. I believe that. With these Republicans, they don’t seem to HAVE a purpose except for making things up and living to defend Donald Trump another day. What a poor and pathetic way to live. What a joyless existence, where one doesn’t give anything back to America.
So that is just one more reason victory must be ours. We need to stop these listless liars who lie a wee bit more each day as their personhood shrinks a little bit more every HOUR, as the cult members pledge fealty to the only one that matters to them.
