This is embarrassing, even for Donald Trump
Donald J. Trump, IMPOTUS the Third, apparently had a “long and very good conversation” with President Xi of China. In the normal pattern of a president who knows nothing and so is easily bullshitted, Trump claims Xi will use his strength and the changing weather to attack the Coronavirus.
This on a day when a number of additional Americans on a cruise ship have been diagnosed with the virus and quarantined, the death toll continues to climb, and it appears the virus is rapidly spreading. This also despite the history of China downplaying serious health crises. Doctor Donnie tweeted:
Just had a long and very good conversation by phone with President Xi of China. He is strong, sharp and powerfully focused on leading the counterattack on the Coronavirus. He feels they are doing very well, even building hospitals in a matter of only days. Nothing is easy, but he will be successful, especially as the weather starts to warm & the virus hopefully becomes weaker, and then gone. Great discipline is taking place in China, as President Xi strongly leads what will be a very successful operation. We are working closely with China to help!
Hopefully, he is right, but like Donald Trump’s assertion that Kim Jong Un was getting rid of nuclear weapons, this sounds like just more pro-dictator gibberish from the Trump White House.
