Yesterday, former White House Chief of Staff John Kelly – best remembered for grimacing disdainfully while enabling some of Donald Trump’s worst antics – announced that Trump is only being impeached because he isn’t still around to keep Trump out of trouble. This was such an asinine statement, we honestly didn’t think Trump could top it in the stupidity department. We were wrong.

It was bad enough when Donald Trump’s new White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham, released this statement on behalf of the White House: “I worked with John Kelly, and he was totally unequipped to handle the genius of our great President.” No really, she said this. Grisham has managed to do the impossible by coming off as even worse than her predecessor, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, one of the most pathetic people of all time. Then Trump opened his own mouth and made it even worse.

According to CNN, Trump responded to Kelly’s comments with this retort: “John Kelly never said that, he never said anything like that. If he would have said that I would have thrown him out of the office.” Sure, Jan. We can totally picture Donald Trump throwing a military General out of his office.

When it comes to Donald Trump and John Kelly, these stooges deserve each other. Kelly wants credit for Trump’s presidency supposedly being slightly less of a dumpster fire while Kelly was in charge, which isn’t even really true. Trump is, well, Trump. But the bottom line is that Kelly is coming back and kicking dirt on Trump’s legacy because he’s concluded that Trump is going down. That’s the real takeaway from all of this idiocy.
