These clowns are completely out of their minds
These Trump-loving people are clearly out of their minds. You see it in the way they handle the mask issue, shouting at people and shoving doctors who were trying to get into a school board meeting in Florida. We assume they are not stable, but we had no idea just how out of control some of them were until Washington Post reported on one who just pleaded guilty to threatening to kill Vice President Kamala Harris. This story reveals just how crazy some of these people are.
The woman’s name is Niviane Petit Phelps, and she recorded video of herself saying into a camera: “Kamala Harris, you are going to die. Your days are numbered already.” Phelps then went on to brag that someone paid her $53,000 to kill Harris, and she swore that she would “do the job.” Phelps is not someone from whom you might expect this behavior. She was a nurse and mother of three, living in the apparently insane state of Florida, where the governor pretends that Covid is not killing schoolteachers, children, and bus drivers. According to WaPo, she made a total of six videos, threatening to kill Harris. She even had the gall to send them to her jailbird husband through an app permitted for use by inmates. First, why in the world are inmates allowed this type of technology, and who is paying the bill? Probably us. She pled guilty to six counts of making threats against the vice president and faces five years in prison. Perhaps she wanted to reunite with her lovely husband or perhaps she is just insane. After all, who makes tapes of themselves threatening a vice president and sends them inside some of the most secure, monitored walls in the country? Did she seriously think she would not be caught?
Her attorney claims she was “venting” because she “was going through a tumultuous time in her life.” He thought her behavior was acceptable because it was “limited to discussions with her incarcerated husband.” So he says. Who knows who all knew about this foolishness? The woman is certifiable, as evidenced by her claims that she saw Vice President Harris put her hand on her purse instead of the Bible and her claims that Harris “is not actually Black.” Which inauguration was she watching and since when does not being Black generate a death threat? Cra-zy. Phelps is yet another argument for gun control. Shortly after her video debut, she applied for a concealed weapon permit and went out practicing at a gun range. She also apparently had plans to join the crazy convention at the Capitol in a few days. According to WaPo, when asked about her attendance by one of the investigators, she denied having plans to go, but her daughter, who was standing nearby said, “Didn’t we say we’re going?” Geez.
Five years will not be enough for this woman. What happens when she is released? Will she take her gun with the concealed permit and carry out her plans? Please, lock her up, and throw away the key.
