There’s no debating this
No one can say that Kamala Harris doesn’t know how to multi-task. ABC News reported that she has kicked off her reproductive rights tour in Florida while simultaneously preparing for her debate next week. Donald Trump claims he doesn’t need to prepare. Good. The more unprepared he is the better. Reproductive rights are very important to the women in this country, not because we all want children or want to abort them but because it is a fundamental right. We must stand up for everyone’s rights before they encroach on others. This issue is of vital importance to every woman in this country. Since Trump is responsible for overturning Roe v. Wade, he cannot now go back and pretend to care. Instead, he came up with a new addition to his platform: IVF.
Trumps claims that as president he will give free IVF treatments to any family that wants it. He also promised to allow parents to deduct “major newborn expenses” from their tax returns. That sounds very familiar to Harris’s plans. Who’s copying whom, JD Vance? Trump thinks offering free IVF will make up for overturning Roe v. Wade, but it won’t work. First, he doesn’t say “how” he will be able to give away these expensive treatments free of charge. Where will he get the money? He won’t be taking it from his rich friends. Second, he’s a liar. He’ll say anything to get elected. Who’s going to ensure he keeps this promise once he gets elected? He’s too little too late to the party. Harris has been talking about reproductive freedom before she was even the nominee. Apparently, Elizabeth Warren doesn’t believe him either She spoke with reporters last week, saying: “American women are not stupid.” Instead of empty promises, Trump had better spend his time preparing for the debate.
According to Newsweek, Trump said: “There’s not a lot to do.” He told a radio host last week: “I’ve been prepared for this debate my whole life.” Really? Is that why he has enlisted his new friend Tulsi Gabbard to help? CNN casts Gabbard as a spoiler of sorts, claiming that she “left Harris rattled” during the 2020 nomination process. Harris seems rattled by little these days, especially Donald Trump. He will only lie his way through the debate, just as he did with President Biden. The difference here is that Harris will line up those lies and shoot them down. Nobody is worried about Tulsi Gabbard or RFK Jr., who is a nut. Trump and his people might instead be worried about the issues they plan to use to attack Kamala Harris, the economy and immigration.
Our economy is doing great. Inflation is down, gas prices are down, and expectations are up. There’s nothing negative Trump can say about our current economy, which came courtesy of Harris and Biden’s administration. As for immigration, both Harris and Biden worked with James Lankford, one of the most conservative senators in Congress, to shape a bipartisan bill that would have greatly helped the immigration issue, but Trump had his people kill it. Expect Harris to hammer that point home to him next week.
