The true cost of Donald Trump
I want to talk about Donald Trump’s rank incompetence, but for once, I don’t wish to speak of all the damage he’s BROUGHT us. No. I want to speak about the damage he’s caused by what he’s taken away. Thou giveth, thou taketh away. I feel Trump has caused as much damage in the things he’s stolen as what he has brought us (incompetence and stupidity.)
Let’s take a look at this humungous list. Let’s ponder it for a bit. First, he played with people’s lives like a careless little boy playing with matchboxes. Because of Donald Trump, thousands even millions may be out of work. For many, Trump took away the safety net, stability, and joy. He was the looniest of thrives, he and his pal Elon Musk.
Trump also has stolen America’ ‘s reputation. Until Trump, our reputation was as pure as an ivory snow cloud; our allies knew us, and they knew us to be good people who kept our word. All of that is gone, thanks to him.
War. Trump has enabled Putin by refusing to say a bad word about him; he’s emboldened the dictator. It’s fair to say Trump has added to Ukraine ‘s issues, and we are now seen by many as sympathetic to Russia.
Medicaid, Social Security — despite Trump’s lies, the GOP is looking to yank them away. As Palmer Report has explained, many people cannot access their social security online, there are lines at many offices, and some offices have closed entirely. Trump is a criminal’s fantasy come to life.
Hunger. Oh, that one makes me want to weep. Have you heard the stories of the food banks? I have. Foodbanks that need more food then they have, where people are lined up. Hunger should never be an issue in the USA. Hunger is a dark hole that nobody should be allowed to fall through.
But the crown jewel, the sparkling enormous glazed sapphire that Trump tried to take, was democracy and due process for everyone.
Of course, Trump only believes he and his white Christian male friends have the right to democracy and due process. That is false. When one looks at this list, one can see why the Wall Street Journal just gave Trump an F on his first hundred days! Everyone knows; everyone can see it. He has failed.
