The stupidity just burns
The stupidity just burns. It BURNS. “Freedom!” That was the rallying cry at the insane asylum also known as the NRA convention today. Step right up! Gun-loving carnival barkers were there to warmly welcome their own. Some of the inmates even brought the kids! That just hurts.
It’s a “freedom-filled weekend for the entire family!!” This is what it said on the website of the NRA asylum. Come on! Bring the kids to this very fun family activity. Who wants to go the beach when we can just visit with the NRA? “Over 14 acres of the latest guns and gear!”
That’s the marketing message straight from the insane asylum’s mouth itself. Come one, come all. Mingle and maybe sing some fun gun jingles! Admission’s even free for all NRA members!! This includes all children under 18. Especially them! Why not get em started early? Come meet your own kind. Said the spider to the willing fly, already walking into the web.
Everyone, we present Mr. Ted Cruz! “The media wanted us to stay away” Cruz yells exuberantly. “But you are not the cause of this evil.” The crowd roars in deep appreciation. Bulletproof doors, Cruz says he wants.
Because we should, right? Why not turn our schools into fortresses? It’s the LEAST we can do to keep the job of Ted Cruz safe which after all is so very important. But wait! Donald Trump is speaking! We must train our teachers the non-human says.
How about that? What a suggestion! Turn our teachers into agents of death. For we know — they would — most of them — never survive such a shoot-out. But you see these folks don’t care. They really don’t.
Were the names of any of the lost children mentioned? Were there “thoughts and prayers?” Was there ONE tear shed? Not that we could see. We saw inmates running an asylum of hate and death and violence — all in the name of “freedom.”
