The real story that Donald Trump is trying to distract you from
Yes, this news about Iran is grim, and yes, many of my articles will be on that very subject. But we cannot forget — cannot look away — from the ugly bill. As if it was not bad enough that the GOP wants to take away Medicare and Medicaid, new reports indicate they’re coming for your healthcare.
“This week Senate Republicans signaled they might go even further in that ACA repeal effort than their counterparts in the lower chamber.”
Many of the GOP’s proposed cuts include “many key components of Obamacare.” “Decimating.” Please, I do beg you not to look away. Repealing Obama has been the GOP’s wet dream for YEARS. They drool; they hunger to make it happen—hunger for it.
The facts are that the platform of the gross old party is nothing for anybody. That should be our message. The GOP, smug in their jobs., snug as newborn babies, wants the American people to have NOTHING.
The nothing party. The nowhere party.
Their absolute indifference to human suffering is what differentiates them from a normal political party. If I had a penny for every act of destruction every Republican has launched on the good people of this country, I’d be a billionaire.
Oh, wait — Trump eliminated the Penny. Scratch that. So remember, all of this takes away from the passage of the big, ugly bill, which is what all Republicans, even the eternally concerned Susan Collins, really want. We will ensure they do not get it.
